colors and silkiness of this yarn are intoxicating. It wears very
well and is a pleasure to use; but expect to go down at least one needle
size and work about 1" worth fewer stitches than usual--think of it
as between sock and sport weight. Well worth the effort to find out
how it works for you. Great for a gift--to a loved one, or to yourself!

am not a fan of Koigu or any other Merino yarn for socks. As a
handspinner, I try to match the character of the yarn to the project
and Merino is expensive and will wear out if you really do wear your socks
often, or shoeless as I often do at home. I suppose if you are
burdened with too much money and need a way to get rid of it, or bedridden,
Merino would be good to prevent irritations when wear is not an issue.
