The patterns in this book are easy to read.  Some of the designs are quite intricate, but there are also some socks for beginners.  All of the patterns are, of course, written for stitching with Paton's yarn, so you may need a comparative book.  There is a "mock argyle" in the book that is worked in DPNs (not flat and seamed).

My only problem with this book is the same problem that I have with most sock books.  Most of them are written for four DPNs in a set, and I use five.  Just means I have to do math throughout the pattern, which most times is not a problem (but late at night.....!  ;-)
