|
|
I have made several pairs of socks, some with 5 needles some with 2 circulars, but I find myself using a smaller and smaller set of needles becasue it seems that my socks are "loose". My knitting has always been loose, not tight and I do better with sport weight yarn on size 2 needles than sock yarn (fingering weight) on size 1. I'm trying to find Addi turbo on size 000 circulars to keep on using the sock yarn I have. Any suggestions to find those? I haven't tried anywhere in the internet yet, but my LYS doesn't carry that size. I need 24 lenght for confort while kniting.
Thanks for the help.

Nancy,
I have not seen any 000 circular needles anywhere I have looked, be it on line or in any yarn store I have ever been in.
You best bet a finding 000 needles on this website:
http://www.jklneedles.com/html/ProductLineDetail.cfm?productlineid=58
I have not seen size 000 in a 24 inch length either. I think 7 inches is the max although I could be wrong, which would not be unusual.
Give the site a try and see what you come up with.

Why do you want the circs? Could you just do it on the double points? For large projects (not socks, but maybe hats) you can keep adding dpns. You don't *have* to knit with 4 or 5. You *can* knit with 7 or 8 dpns. Would that work for you?
Other ideas: Use 2 strands of thread or felt or full wool and shrink it down after you make it. _________________ Ellien C |
