I don't have the calendar in front of me and am blanking out on the dates right now Very Happy

We are having a sort of false Spring right now which kind of scares me from a yard perspective. We had a January like this two years ago and the plants did what they are doing now: coming out of hibernation and getting buds and a few shoots. And 2 years ago we then had a deep freeze and snow in early March which KILLED a lot of shrubs all over the regions (stuff like Rosemary and other mediterranean plants took it really hard - I had to replant a half dozen shrubs). This also means I need to get out - if Sunday is sunny as being forecast - and probably do some pruning that I normally leave for Feb/March.

Knitting class tomorrow (usual) and then I may go do some puttering looking for antiques (looking AT antiques really). Sunday I meet a friend for lunch and somewhere in between these minimal activities are all the regular chores of a weekend - house cleaning, laundry, etc.

And some knitting time Very Happy

Tracy

I will spend the weekend trying to decide what I want to knit. None of the projects I have going now seem to be what I am wanting to knit. Guess I am in a knitters funk. Have one yarn I want to make into a scarf but it doesn't want to be what I want it to be, lost count of how many times I have frogged it. Am wanting it to be a scarf that doesn't necessarily need blocking and it is not cooperating. Any ideas? Hope to get some spinning in this weekend too.

We are having warmish weather, here, also. It was in the 60s today. Our LYS has some new warmer weather sock yarn in, which I was eyeing. Need to go and do some more frogging on the shawl and forget about buying more yarn until I get that darned thing finished.

What kind of yarn am I spinning? On the wheel I have Shetland Moorit, have 8 oz., one bobbin full a second almost full, am planning a third and hope to get fingering weight. Do have silk on a drop spindle and have about 6 hankies to still spin. Another drop spindle has a beautiful blue/green single on it and one that is full, don't remember what the fiber is, but it is lovely to spin. Have some llama(or is it camel?) to spin that I trade some sock yarn for, can't wait to try spinning that.

Am in the process of finisheing another resolution spinning wise and that is sock yarn. Got hold of 8oz BFL superwash, tore it in half and one half was dyed navy/gunmetal blue and the second half a sky blue. Got one half spun of both spun and the other half of both is waiting.

My knitting cue is getting rather long it seems...

Finished up the back of the sweater and have started on the fronts. I would love to have this done to wear in 2 Saturdays but don't quite think that will happen. Just hoping I don't have to spin anymore yarn for it. Time will tell.

Also have a pair of socks OTN for my little nevvie. He told me the other day that I can knit him another pair of socks for his birthday (which is Oct 31) because the pair of knit for him a couple of years ago are now too small. My own kids may not appreciate my sock knitting but my nevvies do. Very Happy

Wow everyone is really busy! Not much knitting at this end. We had the Supper club last night - we were hosting. Then today, just relaxing and getting ready for the week. I had members of my spinning guild over for a free spin on Thursday night. Seven came and we had a great time! It was truly a sight to see - eight (that includes me) wheels purring away and chatter about veggie gardens to come and fleeces to be spun. We had home made soup and everyone brought their own sandwich. After they left I continued spinning until around 11. Hmmmm, maybe that is why I am a little tired this weekend! Today, I tallied up my projects for the other thread and am about to sit down to my wheel again. Have a great week everyone.

I started some KP Stroll in lovely poppy red DK - it has really nice stitch definition. Socks for moi. Laughing It's a washable merino. I really like it.
