Hard to believe that no one else has started the weekend thread. You all must be very busy knitting or spinning or the dreaded food shopping. As for Moi I have been trying to locate things, then turn right around and promptly lose them. Found some of the things I was looking for but not the alpaca I had spun. Can distinctly remember putting it where I could find it and it is probably in plain sight and I can not see it for looking. So far no knitting and just a few minutes of spinning this weekend. Maybe tomorrow will be a bit better. Hope everyone has a fun filled and safe weekend.

I'm preparing to take a big swig of apple cider vinegar and water. Third round of strep throat in a month? Like @$%&!!

I've just started a pair of mittens to offset the garter stitch blankie. I think they're going to be a present; tan with a black twining design. The lady who ran the local craft store works with me at AE; she just closed up shop a few days ago and brought me a bag of Regia solids. Red, white, black, and tan; eight balls for 70% off. I'll give her the mittens when they're done.

Tomorrow we go to the nursing home to play for the residents. If my throat is up to it, I'll sing. If not, our violinist friend will play a bunch of instrumentals with Himself. Afterward, I'll meet up with the 4H'ers to go through our scripts for the forensics meet next month. Goldilocks and the Two Bears!

Cold here compared to the past several weeks. 18-30F after lots of 50's and 60's? Almost feels like January! Wink

Audrey, hope you are feeling better. Strep is no fun at all. Crying or Very sad

Working on another pair of socks. I really needed to "enhance" my sock drawer. I hadn't made any for myself for a bit so decided it was time. This is the 3rd pair in the past 2 months. I am not sure I will be done with socks for me after this pair or not. Rolling Eyes

I did get out my Celtic Cardy to work on and lay it back down and promptly forgot it. I really need to spin some more yarn so I can finish it and I am not in a spinning type mood. I want projects that Ican carry along with me. We are heading into Inspection season for Commandery so I need to have an easy to carry along project. Of course I always take socks with me to the nursing home when I go to sit with Mom so I am prepared. Geesh, I am rambling tonight. I think I need a nap until say around 5 in the morning. That would give me about 11 hours of sleep. I don't think I can do that. LOL.

Going to close now.

Judy

Audrey, aren't you contagious? I was always sequestered in my strep days. Doctors orders.

I am indeed sequestered! Got a doctor's note to stay home from work tomorrow, and took a five-hour nap this afternoon while Junior helped Daddy cut out numbers and letters.

Working on the mittens and watching All Creatures Great and Small. Tristan is being quizzed by his brother on exam material while James and Helen are on their honeymoon.

Oh, and there was no singing today. We had a replacement lined up, but the lady in charge turned up ill today and called off the performance.

I did a bit of singing in your stead Aud, a funeral on Friday ( former choir member though I don't remember her, though she must have been the most unmistakeable person in the whole world judging by the elegies). A wedding on Saturday and singing in church Sunday evening.

DV has got to the heel flap in the virgin socks. How exciting.

Hi
I know, I know, the weekend if over! But it was a busy one! I did some knitting and caught up on my stash organizing. I'm knitting socks for DH and they are going fast! I had forgotten the pleasure iof knitting plain socks and listening to an audiobook... It has been nice to just knit and be entertained!
Aud, feel better soon! Strep is a pain. It's running rampant in our school too. Kids are getting very sick.
Pete, good man for singing a few notes in Audrey's place. Sounds like your choir group is busy.
Judy, I'm with you. After this pair of socks I'm knitting for me. Hope your Mum is doing okay.
Needleq hope you find your alpaca! Wink
Has anyone heard from Tracy? Hope she's okay!
Have a good week everyone!

I did find the alpaca that I was looking for, it was right where I had put it. Can you imagine that, right where it was put. I do have more and it is probably right where I left it too.
Haven't heard from Tracy, which is a little strange as she is usually with us for the weekend. Hope she is just busy spinning and knitting, also hope she is not having computer issues.
