I'm a new member on the East Coast - northeast Mass to be specific. Basically, I'm living on the wrong side of the NH border, but I'm working on that. _________________ Sue

I live in the north of Norway, and Norway are not a member of the EU, so I voted "Another fabulous region/country". _________________ Norwegianknitter. |

Hello! I joined a couple of weeks ago and have already received help from the wonderful knitters on this Forum! THANKS again!
I am a knitter, spinner, new weaver, felter and just all around lover of fiber! I've owned llamas (currently just 3) and, of course, love llama fiber.
Am a helper in our local llama 4-H and many other things "llama."
I live on a 75 acre (retired) Christmas Tree farm in Centerburg, Ohio USA. Centerburg is geographically in the center of Ohio; about 60 miles north of Columbus.
I've been knitting a number of years and love learning new tricks and techniques, many self-taught, some from our LYS which moved a distance away from me last summer.javascript:emoticon(' ')
Crying or Very sad
LOVE knitting socks!

Hi, I joined this list last month and received my Ravelry invitation at almost the same time. Please excuse me for not introducing myself.
I'm from central New Jersey. I have been a knitter for more years than I'll admit to and a spinner for about 20 years. I dabble in a host of other crafts but knitting is my main source of relaxation - much cheaper than therapy. Socks are my favorite project. I am currently experimenting with Cat Bordhi's New Pathways for Knitters after doing a pair of her Flow Motion socks.
I am looking forward to learning with you all and participating in the KAL's.

Welcome to the new folks! I realized I hadn't read this thread in awhile and it was fun to learn more about a couple of you (after having seen you pop up in theposts). Wow Betty - llama 4H. That's sound like a lot more fun that the very traditional cooking 4H I was in back in the....uh....ok. The dark ages. When girls could only do certain things.
I love that we have more people in the group from outside the US too - it's always so good to hear other viewpoints. Norwegianknitter, I really enjoyed our "conversation" about Selbu knitting - your English is very good (especially since my Norwegian is nonexistent - Americans were not raised very well for a multi-lingual world, that's for sure )

Tracy, I keep visiting your blog for pictures of the kitties and your new house! Did you lose your camera in the move? _________________ SK Rescue Site

Needed to up the count for Canada.
Another Ontarian though I visited our country far and wide and love both the East and the West. I'll probably end up in B.C. (doesn't everyone when they retire?) one far day to get away from the winters here! Otherwise it's a beautiful place to live.

LOL - I love your "Canada eh"! I have a long-time online friend in Toronto and she and her DH would LOVE to move to Victoria/BC. I try to make one trip up to Victoria (I'm in the Seattle area) every year - just beautiful there. _________________ REVISED 2011 Knitting Resolution: 6 "big projects" - shawls and/or sweaters ('cause I'm just too distracted by other patterns to do only VLT patterns this year!) |
