A big hello to fellow socknitters..I just re-registered as I wasn't aware that the forum was back on line. I read forum often but don't post much. I owe advise given to me on this forum back a few years when I first attenpted to knit socks. I was told to "follow the directions to the letter," and even if I didn't understand it would all fall into place as I proceeded. And they were right; been knitting socks ever since. It's great! Since those days I have become very opinionated on yarn and needles. What I thought was great then well taste change and I love my Brittney dps, Addys circulars and Bamboo circulars. Straight needles have become a thing of the past with me. Happy knitting and stay out of the frog pond as much as you can. (but I know that is where we often times learn the most.)

Mrs. Grandma!!
Good to hear from you lady!
I love the bamboo needles too and also like the old Boye balene needles I learned to knit with almost 40 years ago. I had a 4th grade teacher teach me. She saw I had not friend and was new in that school. My dad had taken us overseas and we were returning to the states from that trip (he was in the AirForce).
Mrs. Pena was a doll. She taught me all the basics and here I am today.
Hey! Is there room in that frog pond for me? I think I need a swim
